About the product
Kordevi keeps all client work in Odoo, a business system with a project board for every client. Most of the small chores of the day — writing down a task after a call, moving a card along, assigning a fix, checking what is still open for a client — happen while we are already talking to Claude about the work itself. So we built a small connector that lets that conversation reach straight into Odoo.
The challenge
Odoo knows every project, person, stage and label by a number, not by a name. To create one task the old way, an assistant first had to look up four different numbers. That is slow, breaks easily, and turns a one-line request into a four-step chore.
The connector also had to be safe to use from anywhere. Claude reaches it over the internet, so it needed to be properly protected and allowed to touch projects and tasks — and nothing else in Odoo.
The solution
A small connector that sits between Claude and Odoo and knows our projects, people, stages and labels by name, always up to date. "Create a task in the bakery project, assign it to the developer, high priority, due Friday" now happens in one go. It can create, list, search and update tasks, move them between stages, assign people and set deadlines.
It runs on our own server, is safe to reach from any device, and can only see and change projects and tasks — nothing else in Odoo. Setting it up takes minutes, and once it is added to Claude it works from a laptop or a phone alike. We released it under the MIT licence so any team using Odoo 19 can use it too.
