About the client

Stephen Harrington is a British designer brand where classic tailoring meets modern design: suits for wedding guests, graduations and race days, three-piece suits, tweed, waistcoats, and a womenswear line of evening dresses, blazers and sets. Customers come to the store when they have an occasion to dress for.

The challenge

Occasion wear is bought with the heart and justified with the head. The store has to feel as luxurious as the brand — big, beautiful photos, calm pages, nothing rushed — and at the same time do the unglamorous things well: a catalogue you can browse by occasion and by style, clear sizes and options, and a basket that never gets in the way.

A small brand cannot afford a website its own team cannot run. New collections, seasonal changes and prices had to be easy to manage in-house, without calling a developer every time.

The solution

We designed and built a premium online store with a look made just for the brand and built around its photography: full-width collection images, quiet typography, and product pages that let the garment do the talking. The catalogue can be browsed two ways — by occasion (wedding guest, graduation, race day, interview, partywear) and by style (three-piece, tweed, waistcoats) — with the womenswear line alongside.

Everything the brand needs from day to day — collections, sizes and options, prices, promotions — the team manages itself from the store's admin area. We supported the launch and the brand's growth with digital marketing on search and social media, and we keep the store maintained.
